Our approach

Dealio loads no analytics, advertising or social media trackers by default. Nothing optional is stored until you choose "Allow analytics" on our cookie banner.

If you choose "Essential only", or simply ignore the banner, the store works normally and nothing optional is loaded.

Essential storage

These items are required for the store to function. They cannot be switched off, and they are not used for advertising.

• Session cookie: identifies your browsing session so that your shopping bag, your sign-in and your checkout progress survive from page to page. It is marked HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax, is sent only over HTTPS on our live site, and expires when you close your browser.
• Form protection token: held inside the same session and checked when you submit a form, so that another website cannot submit it on your behalf.
• Consent record: your answer to the cookie banner, saved in your browser's local storage under "dealio-consent" together with the date it expires. It is stored on your device only and is never sent to us.

Blocking essential storage will prevent sign-in, the shopping bag and checkout from working.

Optional analytics

If you consent, we load Google Analytics 4 or Google Tag Manager to understand which pages and products people find useful.

• Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google signals remain switched off, even after you consent.
• Analytics are never loaded on account, order, checkout, unsubscribe or administration pages.
• We use the information only in aggregate, to improve the range and the website.

If we have not configured an analytics account, nothing is loaded and no banner appears.

Changing your choice

You can change your decision at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the footer. Withdrawing consent reloads the page without the analytics tags.

You can also clear site data in your browser settings, which removes the stored consent record and makes the banner appear again. Browser help pages for Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge explain how to view, block and delete stored data.

Changes to this page

If we introduce a new cookie or a new provider we will update this page and ask for your consent again where the law requires it.
