Your privacy matters.

This policy explains what personal information Dealio collects, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to orders and enquiries placed through it.

Who we are

Dealio is a trading name of Dealio Enterprises Limited, a company registered in England and Wales under company number [company registration number to be confirmed], with its registered office at [registered office address to be confirmed]. VAT number [VAT number to be confirmed].

We are the data controller for the information described in this policy. Our registration with the Information Commissioner's Office is [ICO registration number to be confirmed].

For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights described below, contact us at info@dealioxperience.com or [customer care telephone number to be confirmed].

The information we collect

We collect only what we need to sell and deliver furniture, and to answer you when you get in touch.

  • Contact and delivery details: your name, email address, telephone number and delivery address, so we can confirm and deliver your order.
  • Account details: your name, email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in a readable form.
  • Order history: the items, variants, quantities and prices in each order, together with the delivery address recorded at the time. These records are kept as they were when you ordered, so that later catalogue changes do not alter your receipt.
  • Enquiries and reviews: the message you send us, and any product review you choose to submit.
  • Marketing preferences: your email address and the consent you gave, if you subscribe to our newsletter.
  • Technical information: your IP address and basic request data, used to apply rate limits and protect forms against abuse.

We do not collect special category data, and we do not ask for information we have no use for.

Payment information

Card payments are handled by Stripe Payments UK, Ltd. You enter your card details on a payment page hosted by Stripe, not on this website.

Dealio never receives, processes or stores your full card number, expiry date or security code. We retain only the payment reference Stripe returns to us, which lets us match a payment to an order and to issue a refund if one is due.

Stripe processes your payment as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.

Why we use your information, and our lawful bases

  • To perform our contract with you: taking and fulfilling your order, arranging delivery, handling returns and refunds, and providing customer care.
  • To comply with a legal obligation: keeping records required by tax, accounting and consumer protection law.
  • For our legitimate interests: keeping the website and checkout secure, preventing fraudulent orders and abuse of forms, maintaining accurate business records and improving our products and service. We balance these interests against your rights and use the least intrusive method available.
  • With your consent: sending marketing email, and loading optional analytics. You may withdraw either at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it.

Marketing

We send marketing email only if you ask us to. Subscribing requires you to tick an unticked consent box, and we record the wording you agreed to and the date you agreed.

Every marketing email contains an unsubscribe link that works immediately and without you having to sign in. You can also ask us to stop at any time by contacting info@dealioxperience.com.

We do not sell, rent or share your details with other companies for their own marketing.

Cookies and analytics

Essential cookies keep your shopping bag, your sign-in and our form protection working. They cannot be switched off without breaking checkout and account features.

Optional analytics are not loaded unless you choose "Allow analytics" on our cookie banner. Advertising and personalisation signals stay switched off even then, and analytics are never loaded on account, order, checkout or administration pages.

Our Cookie policy explains each item we store and how to change your choice.

Who we share information with

We share your information only with organisations that help us run the store, and only so far as they need it:

  • Stripe, to take payment and process refunds.
  • Our delivery partners, to arrange and complete your delivery.
  • Our email provider, to send order confirmations, account emails and newsletters you have asked for.
  • Our hosting provider, which stores the website and its database on our behalf.
  • Our professional advisers, and any authority we are legally required to tell.

These providers act on our instructions under a written contract, except where they are independent controllers in their own right, such as Stripe and our delivery partners for the delivery itself.

Where your information is held

Our website and database are hosted in the United Kingdom or the European Economic Area.

Some of our providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, we rely on UK adequacy regulations or on the International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, so that your information keeps an equivalent level of protection.

How long we keep it

  • Order records, including invoices and the address recorded at the time: six years after the end of the relevant tax year, as required for tax and accounting.
  • Account details: for as long as your account is open. If you ask us to close it, we delete your profile and keep only what we must retain against your past orders.
  • Enquiries: two years after your question is resolved.
  • Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, after which we keep a suppression record so that we do not contact you again by mistake.
  • Security and rate-limiting data: a short period measured in days.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may ask us to:

  • give you a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • delete information we no longer have a reason to keep;
  • restrict or object to how we use it, including any use based on our legitimate interests;
  • provide the information you gave us in a portable electronic format;
  • stop sending you marketing, at any time.

Write to info@dealioxperience.com and we will respond within one month. We do not charge for this, and we may ask you to confirm your identity before we release information about an account.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first at info@dealioxperience.com so that we have the chance to put it right.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, by telephone on 0303 123 1113, or at Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we use your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change materially affects you, we will tell you directly.
